My professional experience spans 2 continents and 20+ years in brand marketing leading strategic consulting firms, agency teams and global FMCG brands including Leo Burnett, Design Bridge, Landor and Red Bull.

Over that time, I’ve developed expertise in brand strategy, creative strategy, consumer insights, innovation and design thinking methods. I believe my broad background helps me to bring a unique balance of analytical and creative thinking to my passion – creative problem-solving.

Positive and pragmatic, I have a proven record of leading cross-functional/cultural teams to actions that result in business growth.

BACKGROUND

I’m an American Midwesterner living in the Netherlands since 2016. My wife and I made the leap primarily in search of a new life adventure for ourselves, and to provide our children the opportunity to experience cultures and perspectives outside their own. Our experience has turned out to be everything we imagined, and more.

I like to believe I’ve brought with me what I see as the most positive aspects of my native culture:  the energy, positivity and optimism it takes to believe that anything is possible.

During my many years serving clients, I’ve seen over and over again that most marketing problems stem from poorly defined positioning, brand meaning and go-to-market strategy.  I started Edgecraft to help bring clarity, simplicity and inspiration to these foundational elements so critical to informing creative expression and achieving growth.
